Preparing for graduate school? Or gotten accepted already and thinking about what you need to learn before coming? Learn Referencing. Learn how to properly cite a literature and the appropriate reference. This is important in graduate writing.
It is important that you know how to properly cite literature to avoid plagiarism. Schools frown heavily on plagiarism. You cannot make a claim or say something without citing empirical work to support that argument.
For some social sciences, we use APA 7th edition. Others use MLA, some use ASA etc. Some individuals used APA 7th edition for their undergrad. Of you are not careful, you can receive a warning for not properly citing once. Omitting a comma in in-text citations is a big deal. Some schools are so strict on referencing.
Especially if you are applying to school abroad. These people don't joke with citation and referencing. Plagiarism will get you in trouble, and also if didn't add quotation marks.
I always recommend the plagiarism test for anyone who aims to publish his/her project work or any review article.
