School of Nursing - Federal University, Abakaliki, is owned by the Federal University but run autonomously - whatever affects the university does not affect it.

The tution fee is a chicken change (N35,000k). Other charges and hostel fees (it's a compulsory boarding system) may be high though - I'm not sure about those.

The only problem (from my observation) is, it seems to be available to the children and wards of those who know those who know powerful people in power.

As in ehh, is connection for them, they asked one of my friends to bring money to secure a place for him. He passed exam and it reached interview, he got 54 but they said it is 60 cut off mark. His brother called top doctors there, but none could do anything because places have been booked.
