1. Get your international passport

2. Pass your IELTS with minimum of 7.0 in 3 modules and 6.5 in one module (Note: the 6.5 can be in any module, just make sure you have 7.0 in the other 3 modules)

3. Apply for NMCN verification on https://licence.nmcn.gov.ng/  (it usually cost about N69,000k). It takes like a 2-6 weeks

4. While waiting for your NMCN to verify you, create an account with Nursing and midwifery board of Ireland on https://my.nmbi.ie/registration

> Register your details on the website.

Note: For NMBI, there is no column for middle name so your:

* First name = Peter

* Middle name = John

* Surname = Martins

First name = first name, middle name e.g (Peter John)

Last name = Surname (Martins)

> Go under APPLICATIONS, click on OVERSEAS RECOGNITION, fill in your details and save it.

5. While waiting for NMCN verification gather the following documents:

- International passport

- Transcript and school curriculum (request from your school)

- NMCN certificate

- School testimonial
(NOTARIZE THESE 5 DOCUMENTS ABOVE). Notarization is done by a lawyer.

Then,

- Qualification form (to be filled and stamped by school)

- Employemnt form (to be filled and stamped by employer)

The two forms above will be downloaded from the NMBI website.

6. After you’ve filled the forms and gather all documents, upload them on nmbi website.

7. After you’ve confirmed your NMCN verification (your portal on the website will say *APPROVED*).

You can now go ahead and pay your 350€ (euros) for the qualification recognition.

8. After the payment wait till NMBI get back to you, and you will be issued a Decision letter.

9. After having a decision letter, you can now start applying for jobs.

10. After getting a job, your offer and contract will be discussed with you if you will going through RCSI exam or Adaptation (depends on hospital).

11. When you get to Ireland and you’ve passed your adaptation or RCSI exam, you will be given a go ahead to now register as a nurse in Ireland.

12. Get your NMBI PIN and enjoy your practice in Ireland.
