Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the 2025 University of Bologna Scholarships, applicants must:

> Hold or be in the process of obtaining a qualification from a non-Italian education system valid for admission to their chosen program. Students with Italian high school qualifications earned abroad are also eligible.

> Have taken one of the following standardized tests by the application deadline:

> SAT for first-cycle or single-cycle degree applicants

> GRE for second-cycle (Master’s) degree applicants

Note: Both SAT and GRE assess aptitude and skills, are offered globally at affiliated centers, and are administered in English. Registration must be done through the official test websites.

> Have an ISEE (Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator) between €16,000 and €35,000 or an equivalent proof of financial status. Applicants whose families live outside Italy and cannot provide an ISEE certificate must submit alternative financial documentation.

> Be under 30 years old as of the application deadline.
